India vs England 2018 - 2nd test - Day 2 : Highlights

After Day 1 getting completely washed due to rain, Its Day 2’s turn to lose some of its time to RAIN. With some permitted time, Toss England Won the toss and Enforced India to BAT in the overcast conditions, which would have been avoided by them if they had won it.

Indians brought in few changes from their last week encounter

Dropped Dhawan – which would be a shocker to most cricketing Fans Included Pujara – would have thought to strengthen the middle order Dropped Umesh – might have thought Pace is least supporting factor @ Lord’s Added Kuldeep – might be a thought to provide support to Ashwin in Spin department.

Indians Started their innings by losing 3 quick wickets in under 8 overs and in kind of “stop and go” progress due to Rain.

Vijay was the first one to go back, for a DUCK – caused by a full-length beauty knocking the top of OFF Stump – From the “King of Swing” Anderson. Rahul looked Positive, hit a couple of boundaries, before edging the beauty from Anderson to wicket keeper Bairstow. With these 2 wickets there was stop in play, due to rain – Score was 15/2 Next to go was Pujara, from a mix up with Virat Kohli, RAN himself out, in an attempt to rotate the strike. Play stopped again due to rain with score changing to 15/3. At this point Kohli would have thought “Why the hell we played this 2 deliveries just to lose a wicket ”

Kohli and Rahane steadied a bit, before Kohli Edged one from Woakes to Butler at 2nd Score fell down to 49/4 From then there was not much – everybody came in and went back before India getting bundled out for 107 Ashwin top scored with 29 runs. “King of Swing” Anderson picked up 5, giving away just 20 runs – This was the 26th time he is getting it in his Test Career. This is the 6th time, he is getting it in Lord’s This is the 4th time, he did this to shackle the Indians This is the 3rd time, he did this to shackle the Indians @ Lords Stats proved he likes playing in Lord’s

Dhawan replaced by Pujara provided to be an unfair move, which have not created a difference Let’s hope Indians bowlers too produce similar attack tomorrow to bundle the English batsmen out. Expecting Kuldeep to shine tomorrow with his leggies and googlies.
