The inspiring session on AI conducted on July 14 - 15, 2018 from 9 to 5:00 pm in Fremont , CA the thought provoking meet made most of the student aspire to involve their future in AI revolution.
Artificial intelligence is the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. Whereas Applied AI is the use of artificial intelligence to enhance and extend software applications. The result is a fundamental shift in how software is built, and what it's capable of doing. And while we're still far away from the artificial intelligence portrayed in the movies, nevertheless artificial intelligence is a reality that's already powering some of the most successful technology businesses today, including Amazon, Facebook, Google and Apple.
 
12 year old 8th grader Kanisqh from Sacremento said “ it  was a real big Eye opener I didn’t realize how big AI is,I thought we are far away from reaching AI, but I realize what a big role it plays inside our society and how it’s very near to us “ and he also added that he’s going to get into AI when grows up!
The students who attended the conference got together for a small AI project which helped them to practically understand what they had learned in the session. There project topics included health, consumer understanding, energy, and marketing. A total number of 90+ members including remote participants participated in the event. From which 35 students from 4th grade to high school participated.
 
Our profound Speaker Mr. Jothi Periasamy From CSAIL & MIT Sloan had delivered an extensive yet interesting session on the need and application of AI. Even though AI seems like a highly technical field of study he cleverly condensed its complexity to a learning understanding for the students. Both the adult and student participants were actively involved throughout the session.
The entire attendees where in praise of BATM for conducting such a resourceful event on need of the hour topic. The students also added that they look forward for similar path breaking sessions from BATM.
